AIDA Tentative Rehearsal & Performance CALENDAR coming soon!
Auditions - 2:15pm in the Theatre
Initial Auditions - November 16 & 17
Final Callbacks - November 18
- Please prepare a short song - 1-2 minutes for vocal auditions for Mrs Lidey. You may sing acapella or with an accompaniment/backing track CD (no vocals on track please - we want to hear your voice)
- Please prepare a short 1 minute monologue for dramatic auditions for Mrs Neimeyer
- Dress and be prepared for a dance/movement audition with Mrs Reed
Please note that there is a good chance that you will be cut off in your song or monologue, and that you will not be able to finish, so that we have time to hear everyone.
We will gather in the theatre and then divide into three groups. Each of those groups will then rotate between vocal, dramatic and dance auditions.
If you do not have a prepared song or monologue be prepared to read and sing with material provided by Mrs. Lidey and Mrs Neimeyer
We encourage you to read about AIDA, listen to the Broadway CD, search the story on the internet and see what you can learn about the show. Although this story is not a familiar one with most people here in Anchorage it is a rich and deeply beautiful story with great music by Elton John and Tim Rice.
