Tomorrow at Dimond (November 14) there is an AYEA/ASD Recycling Forum from 10 until 12.  It would be great to have some East Representatives there!

Thank you to everyone who came.  Please keep participating, it is very exciting to have such an active club.  Next week's meeting will be led by Scott.

Our Club in General:

Our meetings this year will be on Fridays in Room 10 (Mr. Oxley’s new room).  Meetings are always at lunch.  To encourage new members we will try to have some sort of snack at every meeting (Scott and Christina both love to cook so these will usually be great homemade treats unless we run out of time).  If you miss a meeting and want to know what happened, just look here.  We hope you will join us and SAVE THE EARTH!

If you are unfamiliar with our program, feel free to drop by any meeting to learn more about us.  Basically we recycle the mixed paper at East by emptying the large bins in the teacher centers around the school.  Teachers empty the small blue bins in classrooms themselves unless they have requested support.  Also during the year we participate in trail cleanups, creek cleanup, Earth day, and Arbor day.  We have begun a school wide environmental week with Student Government that will be in the fall.
