We talked about our next two vocabulary words on the list - numbers 11 and 12.  Students wrote down definitions and sample sentences in their writer's notebooks.

Following this, students took the quiz on the 18 literary and rhetorical terms from their 9th grade year that we took notes on as a class.

I announced that their first vocabulary quiz (words 1-10) will be Wednesday/Thursday, and that their homework each night this week is to read and bring their chosen book to class.
